Summer Portrait Session at Twin Sisters Rock - Tri-Cities, WA

This golden hour session with Samantha was a reminder of why I love photographing in the Tri-Cities. Set against the dramatic basalt cliffs of Twin Sisters Rock, we captured a portrait series that feels like it belongs in both a fashion editorial and a personal memory book.

Samantha came into this shoot with radiant energy and a willingness to explore — she admitted she felt a little giddy at first, but as the session unfolded, she found herself surprised at how grounded and beautiful she felt in front of the camera. That shift is one of the most fulfilling parts of this work: witnessing someone ease into their natural glow.

We chose two outfits that brought balance and texture to the desert backdrop — a rich floral red dress for the early sun, and a flowing pink maxi for the softer, low-angle light. As the wind moved through the hills and the shadows lengthened, we leaned into motion, story, and those quiet moments of connection between subject and landscape.

If you’re looking for timeless portraits with a natural, editorial feel — whether for senior photos, creative branding, or simply to celebrate where you are in life — I’d love to create something meaningful with you. This location is just one of the many gems the Tri-Cities has to offer, and we’ll work together to find the perfect backdrop for your story.
